The work of this organization is built on the values and principles writen in the human rights statute and in the UN’s childrens rights convention.
Kolibri Norway will work for:
- To promote preventive measures for children living in urban areas with social issues.
- Together with our organization partner, Rede Cultural Beija-Flor in Brasil, to develop and spread the Kolibri model focusing on education, artistic expression, sport , intertainment, cultural and ethnic diversity, ecological awareness and vocational courses.
- Through direct contact and exchange, to connect children and young people in Brazil and Norway to play a leading role in developing their creative potential and creating an environment for the preservation of human values, with a critical view of reality and the social problems on a national and global level.
- To actively work to share information about our work, in a concrete and creative way, based on most direct contact and involvement.
- To ensure that our methodology with street children is a model for others working with children at risk, both in Brazil and other places where such issues are.
- To be a leading force in society in the field of street children problem.
- Art and aesthetics will be the tools to put their stamp on the work.
